From the students of the department; It is required to successfully complete a 12-month approved practical training program, six months (6 months) of open sea training on ships in accordance with an approved internship book, and six months (6 months) of workshop skills development training in accordance with an approved internship book.

a. Open Sea Training: It is a 6-month ship training that will be carried out on the basis of the practical implementation of the curriculum of the courses taken by the department students, which will be held after the end of the 5th semester, on the ship and this application is recorded in an approved marine training logbook (internship book).

b. Workshop Skills Development Training: It is a 6-month workshop training that will be held after the end of the 2nd semester, on the basis of the practical implementation of the curriculum of the courses taken by the department students in the workshop facilities and the processing of this application in an approved applied training logbook (internship book).
